Welcome to Competitive Safari, often referred to Comp Safari, where off-road racing meets strategy, precision, and adrenaline!

In this video, we’re diving into everything you need to know about Competitive Safari, one of the most thrilling disciplines in off-road motorsports.

What is Comp Safari?
Comp Safari events are time-trial races where drivers compete against the clock, not each other, to finish a challenging course in the shortest time possible.

What to Expect:
– Special Vehicles: Comp Safari vehicles, or ‘specials,’ are custom-built for tough off-road racing but aren’t typically road-legal, so they’re brought in on trailers.
– Tough Terrain: Courses span 3–6 miles, and drivers tackle multiple laps. While challenging, the course is designed to be driveable for all racers throughout the day.
– Driver-Navigator Teamwork: Each vehicle has a navigator onboard, but no notes—so sharp communication and fast decision-making are essential.
– Safety Requirements: All vehicles must have a Roll Over Protection System, and both driver and navigator wear helmets and Frontal Head Restraint devices for added protection.

– 4×4 vehicle (that conforms with the Motorsport UK NCRs and event regulations)
– Club Membership
– Entry Fee
– Free RS Clubman Licence from Motorsport UK
