Today we send Charlie to a Car Trial – the day has its ups and downs, but with some help from the local motorsport club we may yet make a Car Trial expert out of Charlie.

Car Trials are a low speed and surprisingly difficult form of motorsport. Taking place on private land, the objective is to reach the end of the test. To do so, you must maintain momentum, focus on clutch control and position the vehicle tactically throughout the test. With a little help from your passenger, or ‘bouncer’, you might reach the end – earning you a perfect score.

You can partake in Car Trials from the age of 14 and upwards in your everyday road car with a free Motorsport UK RS Clubman licence.
