Prescott has it’s first visit of the year by competitors in the Midland Hill Climb Championship, which was founded in 1980 and feature rounds at Prescott along with Loton Park and Shelsley Walsh. The event has attracted a strong field with Classic Marques contenders also on hand for a second day of competition.

The three classes for production road cars will feature a healthy entry including the Jaguar E-Type of John Harding, Simon Tarling’s Porsche 996 GT3 and the Porsche Cayman shared by Robbie Birrell and Mark Lawrence.

The specialist production car category features a whole host of Westfield and Caterham models while among the modified cars taking to the hill will be Nigel Elliott’s TR7-V8 and the Porsche 911 RSR of Paul Howells.

A particularly strong field of single seater race cars include a number of models from hillclimb car specialists Empire and fellow specialists Force along with OMS as they approach the 40th anniversary of their founding in 1985.

Another famous marque represented will be Pilbeam while the historic Brabham BT21 of Martin Jones will also be competing.
